| 38-55 Win; 75% blue, fair bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1897. Original blued finish and walnut stock with crescent butt. Full octagon barrel with silver blade fixed front sight, buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight. Marked on top of the barrel with the Winchester address in two lines. On top of the barrel chamber with the caliber marking. Upper tang is marked "Model 1894/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. AUG. 21, 1894". The metal finish has areas of blue with mixed browning and scattered minor surface spotting. The bore shows some wear and corrossion throughout. Mechanically fine. Antique, s/n 917xx |
