| 40-72 WCF; 75% blue, good bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1905. Original blue finish octagon barrel, fixed front sight with silver blade, elevation adjustable rear sight. Reblued receiver over a few areas of minor pitting, markings remain clear. Original oil finished walnut stock with reblued steel crescent buttplate. The top of the barrel is stamped with the two-line Winchester address. The upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1895/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK. Winchester address and patent dates in two lines on the left side of the receiver. Original ebony forend tip. The bottom of the buttstock has a small hole for a sling swivel which has wood filler. Import marked. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 504xx |
