| 577 Caliber; 92% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 28.75'' barrel, Manufactured in 1884 by W.W. Greener, 68 Haymarket, London, which is engraved on top of the round barrel. C.1919. Original blued finish, mounted in a plain high grade walnut stock. Drift adjustable front sight with silver blade. Fixed rear sight with one standing and two folding leafs, leafs marked for 200 and 300 yards. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the caliber designation "577 EXPRESS". Along with the standard British proofing of the period. Metal finish shows some thinning on edges with scattered light handling scratches. The wood has possibly been very lightly cleaning at some point, with an oil finish. The action functions well. The bore is bright with sharp rifling., s/n 276xx |
