| 22 Caliber; 80% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30.25'' barrel, Enfield produced 1874 dated action, C.G. Bonehill conversion, marked on the left receiver "CONVERTED BY C.G. BONEHILL OF BIRMINGHAM/FOR THE SOCIETY OF MINIATURE RIFLE CLUBS". The top of the smoothbored barrel is marked "W.W. GREENER MAKER BIRMINGHAM", and behing the rear sight "ENTIRELY BRITISH". Folding front with with aperture. Military ladder rear sight. Bayonet lug ground on the upper band. Steel stock disc is marked "1/1895 / 3 DEP / R.G.A/13". The top of the stock wrist has two holes from sight installation at some point. Metal has light suface rusting overall. Stock shows plenty of handling wear. Old small ctrack on the left side of the stock toe. Mechanically fine. Antique, s/n 83xx |
