Description:
Consignor notes state that this is an Australian WW2 era hand made knife from around 1943. 11 3/8 inch blade, brass D guard with leather, aluminum and brass washer handle. The pommel is held with a nut over an Australian shillling coin dated 1943 made into a washer. OAL length of the knife is 16.25 inches. Includes the original leather scabbard which is well made, with a small crossed muskets insignia attached near the chape. The front of the scabbard has oriental characters along its length with a small carved bone lions head leather laced onto the tip. Over all good condition, the blade shows signs of sharpening.,
