| Lot of two (2) WW1 U.S. military uniforms: 1-U.S. Army uniform of Signal Corp Sgt. Jacob R. Brungard, from Cambridge, Nebraska. Grouping consisits of his private purchase coat and overseas cap. Insignia includes a red discharge chevron and Signal Corp Sergeants chevron. Collar disks are U.S. and Signal Corp. Research consists of a summary of his service from the state of Nebraska. His name is written in the coat lining and on the taylors label found inside the coat pocket. Cat is in good condition except the sleeve lining which has some wear and damage at the shoulders likely from a hanger. 2-U.S. Navy uniform named to a Sailor Johnson. Consists of his jumper with boatswains 2nd Class rating and his flat hat with a silk band for the Battleship U.S.S. New York. No research was done on him. Copies of information from the Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships, Vol. V, page 71-72 is included. |
