| U.S. WWII Navy uniform grouping of Aviation Radioman Third Class Albert A. Gronewold USNR from Hastings, Michigan. Mr. Gronewold served in HEDRON (Headquarters Squadron) 14-2, Fleet Air Wing 14. This grouping consists of his jumper, pants, scarf, dixie cup cap and Navy dress cap. Insignia includes avaition radioman 3rd Class chevron, discharge (Ruptured Duck) and an air gunners patch. Research papers includes a copy of his discharge, obituary, personnel records center information including a summary of his assignments. IN later life Mr. Gronewold was a community leader and served as village president of Freeport, MI. Items in this grouping are in very good clean condition. A couple small frays are seams noticed. Buttons intact, no repairs or damage. |
