| Das Kaliber 40 S&W schliesst die Lücke zwischen den schweren 45 Auto Kalibern und den 9 mm Luger Dienstkalibern. GLOCK war der erste Hersteller, der die Vorteile dieses ausgewogenen Kalibers den Strafverfolgungsbehörden zugänglich machte. Mit der Einführung des Full-Size Modells G22 Gen5 MOS ist die neueste Generation des GLOCK Standards nun auch in 40 S&W erhältlich. Durch die Anwendung der Gen5 Technologie verfügt dieses Modell über ein nDLC Finish, einen ausgestellten Magazinschacht, den bewährten GLOCK Marksman Lauf (GMB) und einen beidhändig bedienbaren Slide Stop Hebel. Der Rahmen der G22 Gen5 MOS ist wie bei der Gen4 verstellbar, verfügt über das Modular Beavertail Backstrap System (MBS) und ist mit einem umkehrbaren Magazinverschluss ausgestattet. Dieses Modell wird mit einer GLOCK MOS Adapterplatte für die einfache Montage von optischen Visieren geliefert. Hinweis: Die Schlittenbreite der 40 S&W Gen5 Modelle ist etwas grösser als bei der vorherigen Generation.
