Die SIG Sauer SP2009 ist eine halbautomatische Pistole im Kaliber 9x19 mm Parabellum. Sie wurde 1999 als Teil der "SIG Pro"-Serie eingeführt und war der erste Versuch von SIG, eine Dienstpistole mit einem Polymer-Griffstück auf den Markt zu bringen.

In der Schweiz erlangte sie grosse Bekanntheit, da sie von diversen Kantonspolizeien (z.B. Luzern, Zürich/Küsnacht) als Dienstwaffe ("9 mm Pistole 03") geführt wurde. Heute ist sie als Occasion auf dem Schweizer Gebrauchtmarkt sehr beliebt, da sie enorme Zuverlässigkeit zu einem günstigen Preis bietet.

Wichtigste Merkmale:

Modularer Aufbau: Das Polymer-Griffstück verfügt über austauschbare Griffrücken, um die Waffe an die Handgrösse des Schützen anzupassen. Die interne Abzugsgruppe ist als kompakte, entnehmbare Einheit konstruiert.
Proprietäre Schiene: Im Gegensatz zum Nachfolgemodell SP2022 besitzt die SP2009 noch keine standardisierte Picatinny-Schiene, sondern eine hauseigene SIG-Zubehörschiene. Passende Adapter für moderne Lichter oder Laser sind heute schwer zu finden.
