Neben einem erweiterten Funktionsumfang und einer erweiterten Kompatibilität enthält der GEN M3 neue Materialtechnologien und Herstellungsverfahren für verbesserte Festigkeit, Haltbarkeit und Zuverlässigkeit. Der PMAG 10 bietet Leistung der nächsten Generation für diejenigen, die Magazine mit niedrigerem Profil benötigen.
Während der GEN M3 für Colt-Spec AR15/M4-Plattformen optimiert ist, erlaubt die modifizierte Innen- und Außengeometrie auch den Betrieb mit einer Reihe zusätzlicher Waffen wie HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, British SA-80, FN® SCAR™ MK 16/16S und andere.
Der PMAG 10 GEN M3 verfügt über eine langlebige Edelstahlfeder, einen 4-Wege-Anti-Kipp-Mitnehmer für eine zuverlässige Zufuhr und eine einfach zu zerlegende ausgestellte Bodenplatte, um das Herausziehen und Handhaben des Magazins zu erleichtern und gleichzeitig einen verbesserten Fallschutz zu bieten. Eine neu gestaltete Riegelfangkerbe auf der Rückseite des Magazins sorgt für mehr Spielraum beim Riegelfang, während ein Überlaufstopp am Rücken dafür sorgt, dass das Magazin bei kompatiblen Waffen nicht zu weit eingeführt wird. Darüber hinaus kann optional eine mitgelieferte Pop-Off-Stoß-/Staubabdeckung verwendet werden, um das Eindringen von Schmutz zu minimieren und vor potenziellen Schäden an der oberen Kartusche während der Lagerung und des Transports zu schützen.
