Description:

The Swiss Army had procured a number of Walther PPK and Walther PPK-L and introduced them as the Pistole 65 and the "7.65mm Selbstlade Taschenpistole PPK" respectively. The pistols with light metal frame (Walther PPK-L) were intended for pilots, while the pistols with steel frame (Walther PPK) were intended for military justice and ground personnel.   The Walther PPK (Pistole 65) is a corps weapon; that is, a weapon which (unlike personal weapons) is issued only during the period of service.   The weapons are from normal production and have the Swiss proof mark (Bernerprobe) on the slide as well as on the barrel end. It is said that 415 Walther PPK-L (with light metal grip) and 315 (+ 4) Walther PPK as well as a few experimental pistols were purchased.   The Walther PPK (Pistole 65) were liquidated by the KMV in the early 1990s; the order was placed through the KMV in Bern, and the weapon could then be picked up at the Meiringen armory in exchange for a weapons acquisition certificate for CHF 300, or was sent by mail.   The German Bundeswehr had also introduced the Walther PPK as Walther PPK P21, Bundeswehr.   According to KTA documents dated November 27, 1964, the following 415 pistols with light metal frame were delivered (known numbers, only 412 pieces):   513796 515414 - 515438 515442 515444 - 515516 515518 - 515532 515534 - 515616 515719 - 515750 515752 - 515775 515777 - 515787 515789 - 515867 515869 - 515932 515934 - 515938   In addition, according to the documents of November 27, 1964, four weapons with steel frame were supplied: 164886 171256 171257 171258   In 1971/1972, another 315 Walther PPK with steel frame were delivered, these with the numbers: 264990 - 265024 273671 - 273950   Known numbers: 19562x PPK 21830x PPK 26500x PPK 27374x PPK 51574x PPK-L 51575x PPK-L 51588x PPK-L 51589x PPK-L   The pistols were marked by the Federal Firearms Control as follows: - BP stamp on the slide above the "Walther" logo (Picture). - BP stamp on the barrel (rear above the chamber, Picture) - W+K acceptance stamp on the right side of the grip above the serial number (Picture)   The production of the Walther PPK in the years 1954 to 1985, which are stamped with "Walther Ulm", according to relevant expert opinion, in reality should have taken place at Manurhin in Mulhouse!
